René Pétillon debuta en el catálogo de Norma Editorial con el EL CASO DEL VELO , una trepidante historia en la que acompañaremos al detective Palmer tras el rastro de una joven muchacha de buena familia que presuntamente se ha convertido al islam.
EL CASO DEL VELO es un cómic divertido y tremendamente actual (sobretodo tras el revuelo ocasionado a partir de las archiconocidas viñetas danesas sobre Mahoma) que nos invita a indagar en el integrismo islámico y reflexionar sobre los excesos ideológicos de nuestro tiempo.
René Pétillon , ganador del premio al Mejor Álbum en el Festival de Angoulême 2001 con L enquête corse , creó en 1974 a un desafortunado detective privado francés al más puro estilo neoyorquino. Pétillon se inspira en hechos reales y localiza esta historia en París, la capital del país en el que el islam es la segunda religión mayoritaria.
